1. /mod

The command is used by the broadcaster to promote the status of a user to a moderator in a channel. The /mod command grants access to various features and commands that a moderator has to the user so promoted. The broadcaster has to specify the name of the user who has to be granted the status of the moderator. It is a basic twitch command for broadcaster.

2. /unmod

The /unmod command works in contradiction to the /mod command. This command demotes the existing user to the status of a normal user. All the features and commands which the moderator has are taken away.

3. /vip

The /vip command grants the VIP status to a normal user. The broadcaster has to specify the name of the user to whom the VIP status has to be granted.

4. /unvip

The /unvip command works contrary to the /vip command which means this command revokes the VIP status from the user. The broadcaster has to specify the name of the VIP who has to be demoted to the status of a normal user.

5. /rules

6. /pin

7. /shoutout

The /shoutout command can be used by the broadcasters to share another streamer’s channel. The /shoutout command displays a follow button in the chat and this button can be used to follow the streamer’s channel that has been given the shoutout. The name of the streamer’s channel has to specify to whom the shoutout has been given. It is a basic twitch command for broadcaster.

8. /announce

The /announce command helps the broadcaster to highlight a particular message to get the chat room’s attention. The message has to be added as a description after the command. Once the command is executed the message will be displayed as a highlighted text.

9. /monitor

12. /unrestrict

The /unrestrict command allows a user to message in the chat room. It works in contradiction to the /restrict command. The user’s name has to be specified to fully execute the command. It is among the most important twitch broadcaster commands.

13. /user

14. /timeout

The /timeout command temporarily bans a user for 10 minutes in a chat room. The time duration of 10 minutes is the default one but you can change the time frame as per your choice. To clear such timeout, you can overwrite the current timeout with a 1-second timeout or you can use the Unban command.

15. /ban

To permanently ban a user from the chat room broadcaster can use the /ban command. The broadcaster must specify the name of the broadcaster who has to be banned permanently. It is considered as one of the most important twitch commands for broadcaster.

16. /unban

The /unban command permanently lifts the ban on a user. The command is also used by the broadcasters to end a ban early than the specified time frame. This command is also used to end the timeouts.

17. /slow

The /slow command enables the broadcasters to limit the messaging rate in a chat room. It means that this command basically lowers the message of the user in a chat room which results in receiving fewer messages.

18. /slowoff

The /slowoff command works in contradiction to the /slow command. The message limit rate is turned off using this command. The users can send messages in a chat repeatedly and normally without any restriction after this command is executed.

19. /followers

The /followers command enables the broadcasters to restrict chat messaging on followers on the basis of how long they’ve followed. It means that in order to send messages in a chat room the follower has to follow the channel for a specific duration. The duration ranges from 0 minutes to 3 months.

20. /followersoff

The command helps in disabling the followers only mode if it was enabled earlier on the channel by the broadcasters. It is considered as one of the most important twitch commands for broadcaster.

21. /subscribers

The /subscribers command sets your room in a manner that allows only the subscribers to have a conversation in the chat room. Where the channel does not have the feature of subscription then only the broadcasters and the moderators of the channel will be allowed to talk.

22. /subscribersoff

The /subscribersoff command disables subscribers only chat room. It means that all the people in a particular chat room can now have conversations in the chat room. This command works in contradiction to the /subscribers command.

23. /clear

The /clear command helps the broadcasters to completely delete the chat history. People using browser add-ons cannot see the chat getting deleted due to the history saving feature offered by such browsers.

24. /uniquechat

The broadcasters use the /uniquechat command in order to disable users from posting non-unique messages. The command stops copy-pasted messages that are considered as spam. The command checks at least 9 characters that are not symbol Unicode characters. After the checking is done, the command itself purges repetitive chat messages.

25. /uniquechatoff

The /uniquechatoff command works in contradiction to the /uniquechat command as it disables Uniquechat mode on the channel. After the command is executed, the users can send the same messages again and again.

26. /emoteonly

The /emoteonly sets the chat room in a manner that only allows 100% emote messages in it. The messages containing only emoticons will be displayed in the chat room and all the messages containing text descriptions won’t be posted.

27. /emoteonlyoff

The command disables the emote only mode in the channel thus allowing the messages containing chat description to be displayed in the chat room.

28. /poll

The /poll command helps the broadcaster to set up or create a poll regarding different topics. A setup menu opens up where you have to enter the details about the poll including the options which are to be selected by the audience as soon as the poll becomes active.

29. /endpoll

As the name suggests, the /endpoll command ends an active poll in the channel. It basically deactivates a poll. The broadcasters can end a poll if they’re satisfied that they’ve received the required response from it.

30. /deletepoll

The /deletepoll command deletes an active poll on the channel. The broadcasters can delete a poll using the /deletepoll command where they’ve created the wrong poll on the channel. There are many instances where this command can be used. The entire poll vanishes using this command.

31. /commercial

The /commercial command helps in running an affiliate or partner command for a specific duration. The default duration of a commercial is 30 seconds but this command gives the option to change the duration of the ad ranging from 30 seconds to 180 seconds.

32. /goal

The /goal command helps the broadcasters to manage a follower or subscriber goal. Streamers set a target of achieving a specific number of followers or subscribers in a set time frame and in this scenario the /goal command helps them to manage this target.

33. /prediction

A lot of predictions take place on a particular channel about different items. The /prediction command helps broadcasters to manage these predictions effectively.

34. /raid

The /raid command redirects a viewer to another live channel on twitch. The broadcaster has to specify the name of the channel on which he wants the viewer to be redirected.

35. /unraid

The /unraid command works contrary to the /raid command as it cancels the raid. Now due to the /unraid command, the viewers are not redirected to another live channel, they stay on the main channel.

36. /marker

This command adds a stream marker on a maximum of 140 characters at the current timestamp. The /marker command eases the editing part as it uses the highlighter to the description.
