The best cycling apps also include helpful features like iPod support, Facebook and Twitter integration, and reporting graphs. Here are a few you might want to consider.

Cyclemeter

Cyclemeter is different than other iPhone cycling apps in that it includes a ton of tracking and reporting features right in the app. Its competitors normally require that you transfer your data online to view graphs, reports, and other data, but Cyclemeter keeps it all within easy reach.

  • Less expensive and more accurate than other cycling premium apps.

  • Easy to use and private.

  • Start and pause the app hands-free with Siri.

  • Elite subscription required for no ads and premium features.

The app tracks speed, distance, elevation, and time, and it can integrate with Google maps to easily share your cycling routes via Facebook or Twitter. Voice announcements, email alerts, and iPod integration are just some of Cyclemeter’s many additional features.

B.iCycle

The B.iCycle app tracks a decent amount of information for your next cycling trip, including time, speed, distance, altitude, and calories. You’ll have to transfer your data to a free third-party website to view detailed reports and analysis, but B.iCycle does integrate with OpenCycleMaps to view thousands of user-submitted bike trails and routes. The app also includes an auto-pause feature so the timer will pause automatically when you stop moving. iPod integration is another plus.

  • Attractive interface.

  • Apple Watch companion app.

  • Free updates for life.

  • Pricey app.

  • No updates since 2015.
