This week on tech, various screenshots of an early version of Windows 8.1 Update 1 leaked into the web highlighting a few new features, such as pin Windows 8-style apps to the taskbar option, new search button and shut down menu in the Start screen, and the most recently leaked images show a new context menu for Live Tiles and apps in the Start screen and All Apps that allows users to pin, resize, and uninstall apps without having to reach the app bar. I also heard that Microsoft is targeting March 11 to release Windows 8.1 Update 1, which not coincidentally will arrive on a Patch Tuesday.
Also Microsoft started rolling out the new Office Web Apps update, which will bring new features like “Tell Me”, a new functionality that will help users get the work done even faster, and the company is also refreshing OWA user-interface to make it more easy to use.
Finally, if you’re a proud Xbox One owner, you’ll be happy to know that there is a new website called “XboxIE.com” that brings a collection of over 30 popular games to the console over the web browser.
