This week on tech, Microsoft surprise Windows Insiders with another preview, this time Windows 10 build 10130. This new version of the operating system brings fewer changes, but it’s a more stable and polished version with fewer bugs, and that’s the kind of changes we will be seeing from now until RTM, which it could happen as soon as July.
Early this week, Windows 10 build 10125 leaked onto the web revealing a number of changes such as updated icons, Windows Hello, Jump Lists, and various other changes. Changes that now you’ll see implemented in Windows 10 build 10130, which is the official release.
Microsoft announces that a version of Cortana is in the works for Android and iOS, however the digital assistant won’t be as good as the version in Windows 10, because of the limitations of the other platforms.
Also, Lenovo unveils that will help Cortana to get smarter by incorporating its REACHit service into the mix to allow Cortana to expands its search capabilities to Dropbox, Google Drive, and Box.
The computer manufacturer also announced the Z51 laptop which is one of the first devices that will support Windows Hello for Windows 10.
On an effort for Microsoft to get users connected to Windows 10, no matter what phones they use, the software maker announced that will include the Phone Companion app in Windows 10 to help user get all the Microsoft apps on their phones, including Cortana.
Microsoft support page shows that the Music app for Windows 10 will soon be getting a new dark theme and a few UI changes. Microsoft Edge will soon support Dolby Audio, which will make the first browser to support premium sound. Microsoft is reportedly gearing up to release the Microsoft Band 2, according to sources the company is testing a new prototype in Europe. In addition, the rumor is that two new Windows 10 Mobile phones with USB Type-C are in the works too.
If you own an Xbox 360 or Xbox One, Microsoft this week announced all the new free game coming in June as part of the Xbox Live Gold program.
